Part 1.
Well this week was the worst week ever! I had so much to do I thought I would never finish. Thanks to the help I received from F.W. I was able to get it done. For week 8 process draft, I had to practically start from the beginning. I was able to use some of my old work like periodicals and journal citations since it still pertained to my revised plan. Thank goodness for that! For the Research plan posting I was very impressed on how everybody was doing, and how well everything looked, but I was most pleased to compare my work to others and see that I was on the right track. the source draft was also a bit complicated for me, again because it was like starting from scratch. I was however still able to use some previous annotations for some of the required materials on the assignments.
Part 2.
Well I was glad that this work needed to be done, within such a c lose time for the Pathfinder to be due. I appreciate the work being due now, because I enjoy the feed back I receive and try to use it to my fullest advantage. I feel that doing it now can help not feel so over whelmed the next several weeks. I have a much greater appreciation to the Pathfinder now that I know that most of the work is done.....I think?
Well I am glad this week is over, I had so much work to catch up on t hat I thought I was going to quit. After I collected myself I was fine.

Week 7 - Journal
Part 1. Reflections
This week was not as bad as i thought it would be. The first assignment was interesting, and I too was surprised by those thinking everything is free on the web. I do want to give the web credit, but also think it has taken many away from traditional research methods. the advanced Google search was very interesting. I can not believe how advanced technology has come. I almost felt that I was working with a robot. to get a good start towards research have as much detail in to your search area. Google scholar was not my favorite, and I think i wont be using it as often. I felt that it was over my head. I felt that it was incomplete and only gave you sections depending on what you typed in your search area. Web citing was fun, it was an adventure searching and properly citing, i feel pretty confident after these assignments. Also after doing the web evaluation, i felt better about my annotations and hope that you see my intentions towards improvements.
Part 2. Applications
This whole week will be applied towards future assignments. I really feel more comfortable that i know what and where i need to locate information pertaining to citing my sources. I still don't have every period down ,but feel comfortable that I some will. I carry my MLA citation guide at all times and use it for everything that needs to be cited. (I just hope that you don't change the citation style any time some!) this week was a felt a bit longer, but I am glad we did it.

Journal - Week 6
Part 1. Reflections
This week was a busy one, I can see why the assignments were all spread out. the database search strategy assignment was a great way of breaking ground towards the pathfinder assignment. All I hope is that it is properly done. My research results, were also a great way of practicing citations. I was glad this assignment was done. However I still have a hard time picking information for the annotations. Revising my research plan, was also a great idea. The new and improved research plan, seems more organized and I feel it contains useful information, that i can research, without having trouble.
Part 2.
I am really glad that we have to do these type of assignments. The is so much more than just writing a paper. I have learned this week that research takes time and can not be rushed. I know that by doing this type of work we are working towards our final project. I am glad we have gotten experience, because some of us would have not had a clue, on what to do. this class has been very active and i am convinced it is all for the better.

Journal Week 5
Part 1. Reflections on course content.
This week we worked on some very well needing citations. I was able to complete my assignment using the links that were given to us. I especially found useful, MLA citation guidelines. I don't think that I will lever remember what goes where. I will keep that site as my main area for answers. The other assignments were not as easy as they seem. Annotations I learned, need to be easy to read and to the point to keep the reader interested. I made my annotations with this in mind. I noticed when doing the annotation assignment, if it had to much information that i had no prior knowledge, I would go to the next. For the last assignment, annotation and citing, I found that is was a great way to practice for future use. I feel that this can only help me.
Part 2. Applications to your Life
i found that these assignments are to only benefit you. I felt that Francine has a solid foundation on these subjects. she is well aware of what a college level student should be doing, yet many of us have never done annotations prior to this course. I know that this class will help my grades improve over the next several semesters.

Week 4
Part 1. Reflections on Course Content
I completed the first part of How I know part 1, using the instructions given. Going on to Google and finding the origin of the word Canuck was interesting. I made my conclusion based on a pile of information. I do know ( I think I know) that it was originated in Canada. I thought this was going to be an easy assignment, but found out that I still don't know where Canuck came from. Part 2 was just as confusing. I really like what was written in the Article of Theory. I could not have put it in better words. I would be interested in reading more from the author.
For the Research plan, I am glad I did this. I feel that doing this assignment helped me get a head start on my Pathfinder. I am glad and appreciate the importance of the weekly assignments. I enjoyed reading the other posts by the students, and found some useful ideas for my own projects. Way to go guys!! Thanks.
Part 2. Applications to your Life
This whole week was filled with information and techniques that I will continue to use. I enjoyed most was the what I know assignment. I like that this weeks assignments really are to reflect on your own life and experiences.
So is their a correct answer to Canuck?

"Journal - week 3"
All I have to say is I am now a new and advanced library researcher! The library assignment is going to be so useful. I never payed much attention to the reference desk, primarily because I didn't know what it was for. I had to visit Brown library a few times to complete the assignments. There were so many areas of the library I didn't know about. For the organization assignment I had a good time thinking of ways, I even involved a few of my friends. I most differently plan on using my method of organization, and it is currently in process. After this weeks work I am confident that I will be able to complete research projects. I felt most comfortable with Pro Quest and plan on using it more often. I was impressed with what a great library our college campus has. I was glad that I didn't leave everything for last minute. I am really glad that I became a friend of advanced searches. I realized that using them saves time. I think back on how much time I could have saved using library catalogs and all 22 of our databases.
